Indiana United Methodist Children's Home is licensed by the Indiana Department of Child Services to serve children ages 10 to 18. Children and youth for placement can include, but are not limited to:
Status offenders
Non-violent delinquent offenders
Children experiencing difficulties in the educational setting, both academic and/or behavioral
Children who have a history of alcohol or drug abuse but are not in need of inpatient substance abuse treatment
Children who have completed inpatient psychiatric or drug/abuse treatment
Victims of emotional, physical, and or sexual abuse or neglect
Children from dysfunctional families where a child cannot develop in a healthy manner and children with various behavior and emotional problems
The average length of stay is six to nine months.
